Left out

You've been hurt before

Everyone has

It's not like it's not commonplace

To feel bad for who you are

Or who you have been

Or what you've done

On a daily basis

On different occasions

Something just feels wrong

But you can't quite put your finger on it

So you go and you try

To find out

Hit or miss, at least you learn

To discern the right from wrong

But soon enough it becomes

Oh so exhausting

That's when the darkness settles in

And you slowly become accustomed to it

That now you can't

Feel the light

Anymore

Brought to you by feeling left out.
